The Castle's entrance Access to the castle was made difficult by the steep pathway leading to it. A draw-bridge allowed entrance to announced visitors and kept out those undesired. The security of the prisoners depended on continual patrols within the castle and the look-out towers assured the security for the outside. | |

castle is situated at the centre of the fortress enclosed by another
defence wall and was equipped with everything necessary for its own
defence including numerous look-out towers.
